Water Shop at the Canossa Comoro School in Dili
The first water shop using a Trunz water treatment unit was installed at the Canossa Comoro School in Dili.
The sisters distribute the water to the 4000 children/students of the school and additionally, the water is sold to local markets/shops in Dili.
Scope Asia of Timor in collaboration with the Timor Foundation have put large efforts in the opening and operation of the very first water shop in Dili that is based on a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach:
- Technical trainings to local operator performed by Trunz technician
- Education of school children and teachers about water and hygiene related topics
- Vocational trainings about operation and management of water shops
- Innovative bag-in-box system that is using a special plastic film which is recycled locally
