On the two small islands Nargana and Chapera two water treatment units have been istalled. The two islands are located at 70 - 100 km distance from the mainland and are only reachable by boat.
The two locations belong to the Police Boarder Control and serve as checkpoint against the Colombian drug traffic.  The boarder police stations benefit from less logistic costs for bottled water and less waste from plastic disposal.
