Pilot plant by REvivED Water consortium and Trunz tests the combination of technologies for improved efficiency in seawater desalination
A new, innovative seawater desalination pilot plant, installed by the Horizon 2020 project REvivED Water, uses the combination of electrodialysis (ED), reverse electrodialysis (RED) and reverse osmosis (RO) technology to produce safe, clean drinking water – aiming to achieve improved efficiency in seawater desalination. The pilot plant is located in Burriana with access to sea water at a waste water treatment facility operated by FACSA. As part of the project, Trunz is industry partner and in this role leading a work package which covers the development, construction and operation of the pilot plant in Spain.
We are proud to be part of this highly innovative team of water experts and specialists in ED technology.
